Self-locking.When the lead angle of worm is less than equivalent friction angle between meshing teeth,the mechanism has self-locking and achieve backward self-locking.It means only the worm drives worm wheel,and the worm wheel cannot drive worm.For example:self-locking worm mechanism is used for security protection in heavy machinery.
